In high school I adored Lilly Pulitzer prints: bags, dresses, capris and belts — I had an embarrassingly large collection of Palm Beach brights. I still love the vibrancy and the whimsy of Lilly textiles, but as an adult woman who wears mostly black, navy, and gray, I find the thought of dressing myself in pink frogs to be a little much these days (ok, maybe a bag or a belt here and there will do…). As I “grew up” and my taste for clothing became a little more subdued, I gravitated towards more of Lilly’s solids and bright but understated options (though these days I wear a lot more Loft than Lilly).
Her brand new furniture line evokes those beachy but restrained proportions that I like so much, while keeping all the fun of her shocking colors and unexpected curves. Which brings me to the Find of the Week on this Monday: her gorgeous barstools. Pair them with a sunny yellow side table for lots of summery color!
